Relating to the medieval craftsman/merchants of Prato, Segugi produces textiles by combining the knowledge of the past with modern technology
Prato is a city in Tuscany, a small region in central Italy where geniuses like Leonardo da Vinci, Dante Alighieri and Michelangelo Buonarroti were born. However, it is also the land of artisans who have their roots in the tradition of the Florentine workshops of the renaissance around 1500.
Already in the middle ages artisans and merchants from Prato travelled throughout Europe to sale their fabrics. For the same motivation the company Segugi produces blankets and accessories made of wool, inspired by the knowledge of the past but with the help of modern technology.

Why Segugi?
In our house there have always been present the lively, intelligent and compliant dogs of the Italian breed „Segugi“. For this reason we named our company “SEGUGI”.
